Myth #1: Waxing Is Extremely Painful

Truth: While waxing isn’t pain-free, it’s nowhere near as bad as people think! Myth #2: Waxing Makes Hair Grow Back Thicker

Truth: Removing hairs from the root does not cause hairs to grow back thicker. Actually, waxing does the opposite. Hair grows back less coarse and softer over time with proper technique!

Myth #3: Waxing Causes Ingrown Hairs

Truth: Ingrown hairs are caused by hairs literally growing back into the skin instead of out. Whether you wax, laser, shave, or do nothing, this can happen. By exfoliating consistently and hydrating your skin, you can minimize ingrown hairs.

Myth #4: You Can’t Wax Sensitive Skin

Truth: This is actually true AND false! Soft wax and some hard wax formulas are not suitable for sensitive skin. Myth #5: You Need Long Hair to Wax

Truth: Your hair only needs to be about ¼ inch long (about the length of a grain of rice). There's no need to grow it out too long! You may need to trim a little if the hairs are longer than an inch.
